Temptation Thursday: Earth Day Edition!

"Thank God men cannot fly, and lay waste the sky as well as the earth."
-Henry David Thoreau

Hello! I do not know if you are aware but, today marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. "What is Earth Day?" you ask....

Earth Day is a day that was launched to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson on April 22, 1970. Earth Day is celebrated in spring in the Northern Hemisphere and autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. Earth Day is now observed on April 22 on virtually every country on Earth.

"It wasn't the Exxon Valdez captain's driving that caused the Alaskan oil spill. It was yours."
-Greenpeace advertisement, New York Times, 25 February 1990

"Modern technology, Owes ecology, An apology."
