Salivation Sunday!

Hello!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Yesterday was a lovely day here in Central New York, warm, slight breeze and sunny.
Today is the exact opposite, cool, very windy, grey and raining!

Oh well, you have to take the good with the bad!

Since today is the stay inside and get chores accomplished sort of day I decided to catch up on my neglected blog.

I honestly do not know where the days go. I plan on posting here and then POOF, it is time for bed!
Seriously, I am going to try to be better!

Anyways, it is salivation Sunday, what do I have for you to salivate over today?

First let me show you a picture of something I whipped up last night,

Polenta with Poblano Peppers:

I do not have a written recipe to share, polenta is a staple in our home and I have been making it since I was old enough to cook - so I just throw what I need into a pot and whip it up!

Polenta is a very easy dish to make and is so versatile! You can make it and spread it in a pan, then cut into pieces like I did this time. You can add broccoli and parmesan cheese to the pan and serve it in a bowl, my favorite is to put sauce in a plate, place some polenta on top and then add more sauce and cheese over the top of the polenta! YUMMY!

To make a basic polenta I use cornmeal, organic chicken broth, white pepper, and parmesan cheese. After you know how to make a basic polenta the sky is the limit! Boil the chicken broth in a pan, add polenta and cook, stirring frequently until bubbly. Add the parmesan cheese and anything else you can think of and stir well! I like my polenta on the looser side, unless I am cutting it in squares, so you have to play around with your cornmeal to chicken broth ratios!

Now you know how to make polenta! Enjoy!

There are many shops on Etsy that sell edibles, they all look wonderful! Today lets salivate over some of them!

Vintage Confections sells these Dulce de Leche vanilla marshmallows that look divine!

Don't they look to die for?

How about this:

You Choose Two Caramel Sampler from Have it Confections

Aren't they sinful?

Well, the boys are calling - wouldn't you know, they are hungry!!!

Have a wonderful day and PLEASE, mop up the drool before you leave!
