Tasty Tuesday

APPLE CRISP


Servings: 12

Ingredients:

* 6 large apples
* 2 Tbsp. Lemon juice
* 2 Tbsp. Apple Cider
* 1/4 cup raw sugar
* 1/4 cup cinnamon
* 2 tsp. nutmeg
* 1 cup rolled oats
* 1/2 cup flour
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 1 stick butter, diced (must be cold)
* 6 Tbsp. cinnamon
* Pinch of salt
* Vanilla Ice Cream
* Whipped Cream
* Caramel Sauce

Equipment Needed:

* Mixing bowls & spoons
* Cutting Board
* Sharp Knife
* 12 Ramekins (1/2 c. minimum)
* Non-Stick Spray
* Baking sheet lined w/ parchment (or foil)

Directions:

1.) Preheat oven to 350° degrees. 
2.) Spray the 12 ramekins with non-stick spray.
3.) Peel, core, and dice apples.
4.) Combine apples with the lemon juice, cider, sugar & spices.
5.) Scoop equal portions of apples into the ramekins.
6.) Place ramekins on a lined baking sheet & set aside.
7.) Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon & salt in a bowl.
8.) Mix with your hands until ingredients are blended & crumbly.
9.) Spread topping evenly over the apples.
10.) Place baking sheet w/ ramekins in oven.
11.) Bake about 1 hour until golden & apples are bubbly.
12.) Serve warm.
13.) Top with ice cream, whipped cream and caramel sauce.
